WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE AN EASY ACCESS OR WALK-IN SHOWER?

Getting in and out of the bath can be a challenge. Installing an easy access shower tray or walk in wetroom with Opulence glass shower doors can help you to maintain an independent lifestyle and create an environment that you can relax in and enjoy. Taking a shower offers a more cost-effective alternative to having a bath too. A shower can use 50% less water (providing it’s not a power shower) so the reduced water consumption should help you to cut your bills.

WHAT IS A WALK-IN SHOWER?

A walk in shower enclosure or wet room will create a desirable open space in your bathroom which provides you with a much larger showering space for comfort and practicality. Unlike readily available walk-in showers, the Opulence range features half height door options or full height enclosures with independent opening top doors when assisted showering may be required, which help to keep the person assisting dry and any oversprayed water inside the shower area.

WHAT STYLE OF EASY ACCESS SHOWER SHOULD I CHOOSE?

We offer a variety of wetrooms, easy access and level access shower trays as well as a variety of Opulence shower door options to ensure we provide the right solution to suit your needs. The showering solution you choose will depend on your requirements and the size of your bathroom.

Wetrooms and level access showers provide unobtrusive walk in access. A wetroom is the on-trend, alluring option to create a high end desirable bathroom. A level access shower tray offers a visibly defined shower area, with an anti-slip surface but is still easy to walk into as it is completely level with the bathroom floor.
At just 40mm high, a low level shower tray, with an anti-slip surface is ideal when a small step is manageable.

FIT INTO A CORNER OF THE BATHROOM OR AN ALCOVE WHERE THE BATH ONCE WAS?

Both corner and alcove enclosures will allow you to effectively utilise the space within a bathroom. Removing the existing bath tub will leave an alcove, a space between 3 walls, to install an inline glass door to maximise the available space.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN HALF HEIGHT DOORS, FULL HEIGHT DOORS OR A GLASS SCREEN?

If you require some help or assistance when showering or prefer not to feel enclosed then a half height enclosure is the perfect solution.

A full height enclosure can be used by the whole family, and should assisted showering be required, the upper doors can be opened independently from the lower door.

Glass screens provide a modern, minimalist solution without detracting from the openness of the shower space.
